Vinted doesn't have hashtags or a separate keyword field. The title does almost all the work of getting your listing found — which means most sellers are leaving views on the table without realizing it.
Why the title matters more than you think
When a buyer searches "Nike hoodie black", Vinted matches that search primarily against listing titles. A title like "Cozy hoodie, barely worn" has zero matching keywords — it won't appear, no matter how good the photos are. A title like "Nike Tech Fleece Hoodie Black Men's Size M" matches multiple real searches at once.
The formula that works
Brand + Item Type + Color + Size + One Standout Detail
Example: "Zara Oversized Wool Blend Coat Camel Beige Women's Size M" — this single title matches searches for "Zara coat", "wool coat", "camel coat", "oversized coat", and "size M coat" all at once.
What to always include
- Brand — even lesser-known brands help; buyers search by brand constantly
- Item type — be specific: "hoodie" not "top", "trainers" not "shoes"
- Color — use the actual color name buyers search, not vague terms
- Size — always include it; a huge share of searches include a size filter
- Condition, if excellent — "New with tags" or "Like new" in the title itself catches attention
What to leave out
- Filler words like "cute", "amazing", "must-have" — they waste character space and don't match searches
- Excessive punctuation or emojis in the title
- Repeating the same word twice to "double up" on keywords — doesn't help and looks unnatural
A quick before/after
Before: "Lovely jumper, great condition!!" — invisible to search.
After: "H&M Chunky Knit Jumper Cream Women's Size S" — shows up for at least five different realistic buyer searches.
Titles for items without a clear brand
For unbranded or vintage pieces, lead with the most specific, searched terms instead. Example: "Vintage Corduroy Jacket Brown Size M Unisex" — style, material, color, and size still do the heavy lifting.
The fastest way to get this right every time
Writing a perfectly structured title for every item, one by one, is easy to get lazy about after the 10th listing of the day. Vintly generates a correctly structured, keyword-rich title automatically from a photo — every time, without the mental effort of writing it yourself.
